User Guide & Care Instructions

Designed to improve visibility for horses and riders in low-light conditions through integrated LED lighting and reflective detailing.

What’s Included

  • 1 x EquiLight LED Faux Fur Sleeve
  • 1 x USB Charging Cable
  • Integrated rechargeable LED light unit with power bank controller.

Charging Your Sleeves

Before first use, fully charge the LED unit.

Charging Instructions

  1. Locate the charging port on the LED unit.
  2. Connect the USB charging cable.
  3. Plug into a USB power source.
  4. Charging indicator:
    • Red Light = Charging
    • Green Light = Fully Charged

Charging Time

Approximately 1.5 - 2 hours.

Battery Runtime

Approx. 6 –10 hours depending on light mode used.

Light Modes

Press the power button to cycle through the lighting settings:

  1. Steady Light
  2. Fast Flash
  3. Slow Flash
  4. Off

For maximum visibility on roads and tracks, we recommend using a flashing mode where appropriate.

Fitting Instructions

90cm Sleeves

Ideal for:

  • Breastplates
  • Long lining setups
  • Rollers

40cm / 30cm Sleeves

Ideal for:

  • Reins
  • Side girth
  • Martingales
  • Smaller tack areas

Correct Placement

For best visibility:

  • Position sleeves where movement can easily be seen by approaching road users.
  • Ensure LEDs are facing outward and are not obstructed by tack or straps.
  • Avoid over-tightening around tack.

Important Safety Information

  • EquiLight LED Sleeves are designed to enhance visibility but are not a substitute for safe riding practices.
  • Always ride appropriately for the conditions and environment.
  • Check BHS guidance regarding visibility equipment when riding on roads.
  • Ensure the product is securely attached before use.

Care Instructions

Faux Fur Care

  • Remove controller before washing
  • Hand washing recommended 
  • If machine washing, use a gentle cold cycle only 30°
  • Do not use fabric conditioner
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Allow to air dry naturally away from heat source

LED Unit Care

  • Ensure charging port cover is fully closed before use.
  • Do not submerge controller unit in water.
  • Store in a dry environment when not in use.

Storage

  • Recharge every few months when not in regular use.
  • Avoid storing with a fully depleted battery for long periods.
